What Makes our Pre School Different?

Tampa Elite Sports Academy’s objective is to help your child blossom into the next stage of their life. TESA’s Pre School provides the students with a small class setting allowing them to receive more one on one attention and provide extra assistance where needed. Tampa Elite’s Sports Academy uses Creative Curriculum as our support system to teach our students. Our curriculum allows the students to learn writing, reading, numbers, shapes, and colors. Being a sports academy, we explore many mainstream sports and introduce the basic fundamentals and rules of the game. The students not only get free play in the playground but they learn how to be a team player from the many sports and recreational games that are played.

Creative Curriculum Early Childhood Program:

Our Food Program:

Cornerstone Children’s Nutrition Connection requires us to serve age specific meals that meet  their program requirements. Allergies and substitutions are taken very seriously, we have the capability to find an alternative food approved by the  program, and distribute if necessary. A significant goal of the Child Care Food Program (CCFP) is to safely serve nutritious meals and snacks that’s meet program meal requirements and are appetizing to children. To help achieve this goal, there are several policies regarding meals that child care providers must meet when participating in the CCFP. Child care providers must ensure that each meal served to children contains, at minimum, each of the food components in the amounts indicated for the appropriate age group as stated in the CCFP Meal Pattern. At TESA we will provide your child with a nutritious breakfast and snacks. Lunch is provided by the parent if your child attends our facility for a full time care. At Tampa Elite Sports Academy we promote quality nutrition prepared fresh daily. Preventing childhood obesity through nutrition is our goal

Sports:

The students enrolled in our preschool program are also allowed to be involved in our after school sports. We offer an array of sports throughout the year including Flag football, dance, basketball,  soccer, gymnastics, and cheerleading. These sports are available at an extra cost per season. The season includes team t-shirts, practice and games at TESA, trophies, and a pizza party at the end of the season. Please feel free to call us if you have any further questions about our after school activities.

VPK / Pre School Illness/Injury Information

Written by admin. Posted in Pre School, VPK Program

Illness/Injury During School Hours

When a child becomes seriously ill or is injured during school hours, the nurse will notify a parent/guardian. The parent/guardian will be required to pick-up the child or make arrangements for pick-up. In emergency situations, it is essential for all phone numbers and contact information to be current and accurate. Parents and guardians shall be required to provide an updated list of emergency contact numbers each quarter during the school year. It remains the parents’ responsibility to provide the school with any change of home, work or cell phone numbers as they are changed. Please remember that the updated information you provide is the only means by which we can contact you during any emergency. If you have a change in phone numbers or contact information, please notify the school immediately to update the records.

Physical Examination/Immunization Requirements

Physical examinations are required for all children prior to school registration. Since the family physician best know the child, it is requested that he/she perform the examinations.
To be admitted to school, all students must show evidence of immunization against poliomyelitis, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, measles (rubeola), and rubella (German measles). Exceptions may be made on the basis of religious conviction or medical contraindication by completing the required forms available in the school office. Additional immunizations requirements may be necessary as per state code and law.

Illness & Attendance

Good school attendance is necessary for success in school. Academic progress and attitude toward school and schoolwork is directly related to attendance. Children who are ill, however, do not profit from coming to school and may infect others. Students exceeding 3consequtive day’s absence in during a monthly period will be considered excessively absent and may be subject to being released from the vpk program.

The following shall be exceptions, not included in the 3 day maximum number of absences per month:

Following an illness of five (5) or more consecutive days, the student will present a note from a doctor, clinic, Board of Health, or hospital explaining the reason for the absence.
Where a student suffers with a chronic illness, documentation of said illness must be included in the student’s medical file.
